Playmats Done and Shipping Out
over 4 years ago – Fri, Nov 01, 2019 at 07:05:04 PM

Hey Everyone!

I have all the playmats in hand and they look awesome - even better than my photos!

I’ve started packaging them up and shipping them out via USPS first class mail, and you should have them shortly. I’m doing them in small waves over the next week. International packages will arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Thanks so much for being part of this Kickstarter – these playmats could not have been made without your help. I’m so happy to bring these to you. These are some of my favorite images I’ve done for Magic.

Thanks, Tom

Back to press, but won't be long
over 4 years ago – Mon, Oct 14, 2019 at 08:48:33 PM

So I got the playmats from UltraPro and some of them were not quite right.  They are amazing and work really hard to produce an excellent product, but it's tough if they don't have the actual artwork in front of them.  I even sent paper prints of the art to color match to, and still it's tough.

So I went in to the facility (which I should have done in the first place, sorry) and me and the team worked on getting them looking primo.  I should have them done pretty soon.  I'll keep you posted.

Cool BAXA Access

All things Baxa

While we’re waiting for the playmats to be finished printing, I thought I’d tell you about a few things I have going on that I think you’ll dig. And my website, www.BaxaArt.com, has everything I’m up to as well, including a store full of great art stuff.

BaxaArt Patreon

This is what I’m most focused on and excited about right now: my BaxaArt Patreon! It covers most things I’m up to, and the first project I’m working on is a horror novel, with illustrations throughout, called Zombie Coven.

Zombie Coven is a gritty horror novel about an ancient coven of zombies spreading their unholy disease into the dark recesses of the city, ensnaring the lost women trapped there, and eviscerating the men who corrupted them. Strong characters, strong story development, and a fresh, creepy take on zombies! (Learn more about ZC, and the artwork in the book, on the Patreon page)

Members of my Patreon get the best perks of all I have to offer: early access to new works, Patreon exclusive posts and collectibles, work in progress videos, collaboration on the art, physical rewards like token cards and limited edition prints and original art, and much more. I support some artists myself.

BaxaArt Updates

I have a newsletter / mailing list called BaxaArt Updates. It’s a great way to keep up on my latest artwork and things I’m up to like event appearances, new projects, etc. I also send advanced previews of new paintings and limited edition prints before they are released to the public, giving subscribers a chance to purchase first.

Orders Locked - Payments due
over 4 years ago – Mon, Sep 16, 2019 at 06:00:14 PM

Hi Everyone,

Today I locked orders in BackerKit, meaning that the PreOrder Store is closed, no more orders can be placed, and all orders are being tallied for me. (Note: you can still change your mailing address if you are moving before I ship the playmats).

The playmats are scheduled to be finished the first week in October and I’ll let you know when I have them in hand and will start shipping.

And just for fun, here’s a new piece of art I did recently. Artwork, prints and more are available at www.BaxaArt.com .
